Activity Description

In this highly interactive physics activity, learners will gain hands-on experience designing and creating an item from a 3D printer. Learners will revisit the concepts of a turning effect of a force and the Principle of Moments. Both of these concepts are applied by learners as they design physical prototypes. Lastly, learners will utilize 3D modeling software to create 3D models as a repair tool for broken parts. Learners will develop a better understanding of physics of force and experience designing and creating a 3D item.
